Emma Watson is one of the most successful actresses of the first decade of the 21st century. She may well have set a standard for success that overshadows child actresses for generations to come. Bowing onto the stage of international entertainment as the 11-year-old Hermione Granger in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (aka “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”), Emma has grown up in the spotlight through 10 years of film-making and magazine layouts.
It is a well-known fact that Emma was contractually bound NOT to cut her hair during the 10 years she played Hermione Granger. In an apparent act of rebellion, intended to assert her individuality and almost as if to cry out, “I am NOT Hermione Granger!”, Emma cut her hair almost as soon as her contract for the Harry Potter film franchise expired. Her new do was quite stunning and I have to say that while I was put off at first I came to feel it was really sexy.
Emma Watson is her own woman. She has a strong, successful air about her and she has complained that young men feel intimidated when they are with her. Guys, it doesn’t matter if your girl is Emma Watson or the girl next door — she wants you to help her feel safe, happy, and successful! She’ll respond to confidence. Just believe in yourself and treat her with respect — but be your own man. She’ll love you for that, too.
